Museum is BORING.......NOT! Ok, this post should have been posted a long time ago but I was too lazy. So ya. Here it is. With some updates of course.
Went to East Coast Park to take pictures on 'A Glimpse of S'pore'(did I mention this before?) on Wednesday. Damn weather, little people. ended up taking RUBBISH! No 'inspiration' , no 'feel'. Haha. I'm a PROFESSIONAL ok! Felt really tired while in school. Yet on Friday, I was excited! cause we are going to the MUSEUM!!! Mjc students have free entry to ACM. So cool right! And it doesn't really show the history or something. More of a mix with he ART. Haha. Artists are really great. They look at things from a whole different angle! After you saw the things from that perspective, one will really be amazed by the deep thinking of the artist. Next up. I was kinda excited by the fact that my photo will be up for the school to see. Actually the mini-gallery was held since....... the day before. Too bad we could only submit one photo each so well, I chose the best photo which I think is the best among my 'collection'. Haha. It is the photo of a wood carving. It's in my previous previous post so I'm too lazy to upload it again. Haha. I think it's not too bad. It was supposed to be named 'Carving Singapura' not 'Carvings Of Singapura'. The wooden block signifies Singapore. The tool that lied beside it was used to carve the curves and all that. The curve looks like Singapore River with the 'mouth'. Notice the curves are carved so nicely here is no scratches or flaws. The method of carving by hand is also a traditional method. The work is also unfinished but the shape is roughly there. To me, the photo means that our forefathers(traditional method) has carved Singapore(the wood) into a wonderful and prosperous country into what it is now. The workmanship is undeniably good as there can be seen as no major flaws in our government. Yet it does not mean the work is done. Our forefathers have left us the tool which they used to make Singapore what it is now for us, the future generation to continue their work, to complete the picture and maintain the status of Singapore. That is what I think of the picture. seems like there's a lot to say. Haha. Different people have different opinions so that's just one of my views. Any different thoughts do feel to free tell me! Haha.
